Interactive Experiments

Collection of single page interactive experiments

These posts have been inspired by a series of visualisations by Victor Powell and Lewis Lehe, who use AngularJS and D3 in their work, which can usually be found at Setosa (examples include Conditional Probability and PCA). Victor Powell and Lewis Lehe cite an essay title Explorable Explanations by Bret Victor. Maarten Lambrechts recently shared an interesting post which covers Bret Victor's essay but includes great links to some examples of Explorable Explanations, including a few by Victor Powell and Lewis Lehe. One other link was to Mike Bostock's (author of D3) Visualising Algorithms, which is mind blowing. Mike Bostock was part of the NYTimes Graphics team, that includes Amanda Cox, Gregor Aisch and Kevin Queally, who create some incredibly powerful interactive charts, including this.

My work isn't going to be in the same league as those I've mentioned, but they have been influential and inspirational in my attempts.
